In the latest report of Sensor Tower about Health and Fitness apps in Europe, we learn that Turkey and Italy are driving the growth in 2022. The growth rate of these categories is still high in Europe. The required gross revenue in a given month across the App Store and Google Play to become the No. 1 ranking Health and Fitness app has jumped from €1.5 million in 2019 to €4 million in 2022.
Airship released a study covering US, UK and France about Health and Wellness apps. 81% of consumers plan to use such apps in 2023.
Spotify’s number of premium subscribers increased to 205 million at YE 2022 (+14 % y-o-y). Average revenue per premium subscriber now sits at €4.5.
Spotify announced its User Choice Billing program has now expanded to more than 140 markets worldwide. This pilot program gives Android users the option to pay an app developer directly and has been introduced one year ago.
